The show is an international production by NBC Universal International and will be shot in Pittsburgh. Joining NBC as partners in the production are expected to be Germany-based RTL and TF1, based in France.
Based on the novel One Kick by Chelsea Cain, the drama “tells the fictional story of Kit “Kick” Lannigan (Leven Rambin), survivor of a famous child-abduction case, and Frank Booth (Chris Noth), the FBI agent who rescued her.”
So when I was approached by this company about art and read about the story of GONE, I was all ears. Sounds like it's going to be a great plot and story to tell. As a survivor of child abuse, I relate to such stories. Child abuse survivor stories like this one I have to watch! I understand the main character becomes a martial arts expert and enters the FBI to work on abductions cases. Whatever happen to you in life, if it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger. That's for sure!
So set designers look for art. Set designers are in charge of, well.... designing sets for scenes in movies or TV shows. What they do is an artform in itself, creating the mood or background for a scene, character for the story that is being told. It's very cool.
So they need art to hang on walls. I was approached about using my art and they ended up buying these prints today. I was told the set designer loves my work. Not sure why these paintings were specifically picked, but they are innocent and whimsical floral paintings and maybe that is why. One is an oil "On The Way To Grandma There Is A Tree I Love"!
So maybe one or all will end up somewhere on the set of "Gone"! I hope so and I hope I get more opportunities like this.
If you are going to watch that show and see my art let me know, I will be tickled to death about it.
Shoot me a message
I really want to see if I can follow this show. I don't have cable so maybe they will have it on Amazon. I hope so.
